The Spanish band that’s already an icon for a whole generation
Taburete are back at Cap Roig. The band, founded in Madrid by Willy Barcenas (vocals) and Anton Carreño (guitars) in 2014, soon became a musical phenomenon. Their huge success is essentially due to their lyrics, the care they take with their melodies and their own particular blend of musical genres that range from “Sabinaesque” songwriting to ranchera and the cheekiest pop, with some spicy Mexican touches thrown in.
Their first tour began only a few months after they’d formed, achieving two consecutive sell-outs at the iconic “La Riviera” venue in Madrid. After such a success, Taburete decided to embark on an even more ambitious tour, selling out all the tickets for each of the 50 venues they visited throughout Spain and Latin America and topping it all off with a complete sell-out at the WiZink Center (Madrid) in March 2017.
After Tres Tequilas and Dr. Charas, Taburete’s incredibly successful third album, Madame Ayahuasca, will be presented on the 2019 tour, the band’s most ambitious to date. With almost 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, hundreds of thousands of social media followers and a special connection with their audience, Taburete have already become one of the greatest idols of a generation.
